Technical Support Specialist – Level 1

Position Overview:
The role of Technical Support Specialist encompasses remote and local end-user support, back-up job completion monitoring, workstation setup, and general troubleshooting. .

Responsibilities:
* Assist users with day-to-day issues ranging from application to hardware issues.
* Achieve timely resolution of system related deficiencies and customer impacting problems.
* Interact with team members regarding hardware/software rollout and support.

Skills and Abilities Preferred:
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications.
* Good working knowledge of Apple OS and hardware.
* Experience with the Citrix Metaframe, web-based applications, and trouble ticket systems.
* Demonstrated sound problem solving & analytical skills.
* Excellent communication skills (Verbal/Written).
* Demonstrates strong customer relationship skills.
* Able to travel on occasional overnight trips.

Professional Designation/Certification:
* Associates degree in a related field and/or 2-3 years of extensive experience.
* Cisco, Microsoft or A+ certifications would be an asset
